Introduction

We are the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, a jazz orchestra born from the musical and educational project through which more than 80 musicians between 6 and 21 years old have passed, led by the saxophonist, double bassist and pedagogue Joan Chamorro.
 
Founded in 2006 in the Sant Andreu neighborhood in Barcelona, the Sant Andreu Jazz Band is a very active formation and an international reference in the field of teaching jazz to young people.
 
This year 2025 is very important for us, since the organization of the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival, led by Wynton Marsalis, and organized by the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, has decided to invite a single European band to participate: the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.
 
We are looking for financial support to make this dream possible, either by making a unique contribution for this trip to NY, or the other option is to make a subscription to make monthly donations to the project and thus ensure its continuity.
 
Join us on this journey to share the heart and soul of jazz through our music. Each contribution will take us one step closer to our objectives and thus we can continue to share it with all of you!!
